Rodeo Queen

2017 Miss Buffalo Rodeo

Rebecca Moon is the reigning Miss Buffalo Rodeo. She is currently attending North Hennepin Community College and will graduate in the spring with an AAS Business Management degree. Her goal is to graduate from college with Honors. After college she plans to become a certified equine and canine message therapist and start her own business.

Representing Minnesota's oldest PRCA Rodeo as Miss Buffalo Rodeo 2017 has helped Rebecca promote and learn even more about the Buffalo PRCA Championship Rodeo and the City of Buffalo. Her ambassador role is to attend community functions, visit with rodeo fans and promote the upcoming 64th annual Buffalo PRCA Championship Rodeo June 22-23, 2018.

She is volunteer driven and loves to stay busy. Rebecca loves to be around people and get to know her community. She gives as much as she can and holds a positive attitude. Rebecca learned from her mom that if you give, and it will be given to you, for what you give will be the standard of measure for what you are given. Her first volunteer steps were as an elementary school crossing guard, a daisy scout in girl scouts and a volunteer at the animal shelter.

Rebecca did many activities outside of high school. She spent three years as a Wright County Law Enforcement Explorer. "This program teaches about law enforcement processes and the need for communication and leadership skills," stated Rebecca. Her love for this program drove her to join the Wright County Mounted Patrol Unit. She is the youngest member to join and hopes to encourage more people to think about joining a volunteer program in their area. Rebecca has also helped teach lesson with the faith based riding program called So Others May Shine (SOMS). She joined a saddle club in 2014 in Buffalo called the Stars and Stirrups Saddle Club where she held the Princess title for two years.
